New major releases available for immediate download

TAM 9.0, Vision 5.0, fax@vantage 6.0 and InScope 4.0 are ready for download. To give your business the greatest functionality available, be sure to upgrade now to the most current major release of Applied Systems software. To download: Client portal home page > Support > Software Downloads Page. Instead, you may purchase a CD subscription.

Please note that fax@vantage 6.0 supports modem users only. We intend to support Brooktrout card users in a future version of Series 6.x. Until then, Brooktrout card users should remain on fax@vantage 5.x while upgrading to TAM 9.0 or Vision 5.0.

Claims download is big news in agency/carrier interface

The interface capability of TAM 9.0 includes claims download, allowing a carrier to transmit all daily claim activities within nightly download communications to an agency. Claims download is available at no added cost for carriers and agencies using TAM and its interface services.

Similar to existing policy and direct bill download processes, claims download automatically locates corresponding accounts and policies within TAM and creates new records based on the carrier’s claim activity. The claims download process complements existing real-time claims inquiry, which allows agencies on-demand views of carrier claims information and loss runs.

Claims download continues the progress of automatic data synchronization that Applied Systems began nearly two decades ago with policy download and advanced with direct bill commission download.

For real-time transactions, IVANS Transformation Station continues to provide a seamless connection between agency management systems and insurance company systems. Transformation Station allows agents to process insurance company policy transactions and retrieve insurance company account status information. From within TAM or Vision, an agent can get an answer to a customer inquiry with the click of a mouse button—without delays, phone calls or faxes.

InScope provides easy access to insurance information

InScope enables your customers to view portions of their own data via the Internet Explorer web browser. Customers can easily view policy, coverage, driver, and vehicle information. Other readily available items include billing information, activities, claims and certificates. Customers can also verify coverages as well as fax, email and print certificates and auto ID cards. This service is provided with the InScope server, located at your agency’s main office, through an Internet connection. InScope functions as a 24/7 CSR.

Keep in mind that InScope is a ‘real-time’ product, which means that the data your client is viewing at your website is the exact data in your TAM or Vision system at that moment.

Save time, lower your E & O exposure

With fax@vantage, you can send documents or faxes from any workstation, even while you are still on the phone with the receiving party. fax@vantage is the desktop faxing solution that works just like the print option in TAM and Vision. Special hardware and exclusive software is added to create a network fax server that gives the entire network integration with TAM/Vision/Applied Online.

Once your fax/email is queued, you can go on to other work. The fax@vantage server will inform you by on-screen message or printed status report whether the transmission was successful, queued, or received. If the server is down for repair or updates, submissions resume when the server is back online. fax@vantage provides uninterrupted bundled and broadcast faxes, as well as email transmissions for the majority of your electronic correspondence demands.

An activity record is automatically created in the client file for fax@vantage transmissions. This integrated functionality is one way to lower E&O exposure. With an integrated address/email book, a document builder and scheduler, fax@vantage workflows are simple. A free web-based training session is available on the Applied University website.

Monthly statements: Choose email or snail mail

You now have the option to receive your monthly Applied Systems billing statement by email instead of a paper statement via U.S. mail. To elect the email option, provide your customer number and email addresses for up to three people in your office who are authorized to receive the billing statement. Complete the necessary form here.
