'We're using TAMOnline, and we love it'
This
is the sentiment expressed by Mike Saunders from
Taber, Alberta-based Saunders Insurance, which
migrated nearly a year ago from TAM to TAMOnline.
The 12-user broker has cut down support calls,
eliminated backups, and reduced the need for
hardware upgrades. Also, Saunders said, "we no
longer need to do software upgrades ourselves,
and we have had virtually no down time in the
past year. Most important, we can now spend our
time and money on insurance sales and service."
With
TAMOnline, the ASP-hosted version of our
flagship agency management system, you can also:
-
access the system from anywhere with an Internet
connection
-
run
the system on almost any PC
-
be
assured that in the event of a major disaster,
your data is safely stored in one of our
completely secured and redundant data centers
For
additional information on TAMOnline or
VisionOnline (U.S. only), please contact Client
Solutions at

Vision 4.0: Producer/Broker Reconciliation
Vision
agencies that want to truly reconcile
producer/broker payables will especially
appreciate new and modified features in the
upcoming release of The Agency Manager®
Vision SeriesT.
Vision
4.0 features an optional tracking module
that allows total payment, partial payment, or
nonpayment of items that appear on your monthly
Producer/Broker Commission reports. In
addition, Vision 4.0 features an optional bulk
method for creating disbursements or journal
entries for these
producer/broker commission items. Consider the
number of producers and brokers you pay, and
imagine how much time you will save by being
able to batch-create general ledger entries.
Another benefit: Reduced errors and
omissions.
All
Vision users will benefit from modifications of
the Vision base product, which give you the
ability to:
-
Install separate payment options for producers
and brokers
-
Pay
producers and/or brokers on fully paid items for
direct bill
-
Defer broker payables
-
Pay
brokers only on fully paid agency bill items
In
addition to these base product modifications,
Vision 4.0 offers a component that
provides producer/broker reconciliation
capabilities. This component delivers a new
reconciliation program with a workflow similar
to that of company statement reconciliation.
Vision users interested in this functionality
may purchase it separately, as it is not part of
the standard Vision software.
For
additional information on Producer/Broker
Reconciliation in Vision 4.0, please contact
Client Solutions at
csnews@appliedsystems.com, or 800.999.5368.

Important reminder: Set up Billing Role
to be notified of Support fee changes
If you have not
already done so, please wait no longer to
designate someone in your business as a Billing
Role, the person authorized to access your
account on the Applied Systems Web portal for
users.
In
December 2005, you were notified that effective
March 1, 2006, we would implement a new method
to notify you of a change in your EFT debit
amount or the charge to your credit card
reflecting a change in your support and
maintenance fee. With the new method, you
no longer receive an email explaining the fee
change. Instead, your office's Billing Role
designee receives an email providing notice that
the fee has changed and listing a link to a
secure website where the change can be viewed.
The information is available on the secure
website 48 hours before the debit or charge is
made.
Your
Billing Role designee will be able to see
current and past invoices online at any time. If
you change your Billing Role designee, please be
certain to update information on the Web portal.
Your assigned Network Administration person can
make the changes.
For
information on how to establish your Billing
Role, please contact Support at
support@appliedsystems.com
or 800-999-6512.
